Rebuilding Together started over 30 years ago, with an act of grassroots activism and community engagement in Midland, Texas. A Portland affiliate started in 1990 to bring volunteers and local communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners in the area.
We celebrated our 25th National Rebuild Day on April 25, 2015. Our goal was to repair and rehabilitate over 45 homes (and a non-profit community facility), and by every measure the day was a success!
Our next National Rebuild Day is in April 2016.
We have some great photos from this year's project day. Thank you to the photographers that volunteered their time to document the work that our wonderful volunteers complete during the year. A great quote from one of our project homeowner's family: "I don't know how to put into words how much I want to thank everyone that helped on the house. It was a great experience for all of us, I think, and it definitely inspired me to go out and help others."
Our key sponsors - thank you for making this all possible!
